Setup guide for Debian?

I've recently tried installing nagios/oreon on a clean debian install. To get right to the point, it doesn't work. Here is a screenshot of what oreon is doing:

I've been trying several configurations and following many different guides trying to get this setup to no avail. Is there anyone out there that has any documentation on getting this setup with a fresh debian install?

Check your apache error log file.
Check javascript error.

And then you should fix yourself your bugs.

It's possible libgd2 was not installed on your Debian system.

I will be posting my install process soon as a reference for newbs like me because all I've found on the internet is the outdated and incomplete guide on debianhelp.co.uk. Thankyou to the people above for taking the time to reply.
