Hello all. After 2 days of getting Nagios and Oreon to install and work, I have reached the point of adding hosts to configure. I admit I am new to network monitoring. I tried adding a single host to monitor for now to try and learn my way around the interface, but so far I am having difficulty. Right now, nothing shows up on my home or monitoring page, and under reporting when I select the host to monitor, it just shows "pending". Ideally I would like to monitor routers and switches with a ping to make sure they are online and also monitor bandwidth usage of some of the client computers. What is the best route to take?
