Centreon on Debian-etch vs Ubuntu?

Hello,

I plan to redo my current Nag2/Cent1.4 setup with the new Cent2/Nag3 setup; but I want to make sure I choose the best linux distro it supports.

Now, Ubuntu is a build from Debian.. what are the advantages/disadvantages of using Ubuntu vs Debian4-etch?

That is if there are any, aside from Ubuntu's GUI.

Ubuntu seems to be generally more relaxed in what packages are available and when, additionally the release cycle with ubuntu seems much more frequent. But i'm only a user...

I've just done an install on Ubuntu, fairly straightforward. A few gotchas in the centreon stuff (as its beta) such as the startup scripts, but nothing serious. Going to upload a guide on here soon
