I have done my first pass through cleaning up the english file.
I will apply it to my configuration and see if I find any more. The one I can't find is where to change Rapport en direct, which is shown on the report page, I am guessing it is not using the en.php file.

Well, I already had finished what i promised. Spanish language file is finished. I have done some testing, and I think is pretty well done. Of course, if somebody think something isn't right, he/she is free to start from this one. Most of the job done.
Maybe I could see spanish language file in next release ;P
Hope it helps Spanish speaking users to follow closer this great project.
Keep up the good work!
P.S.: Catalan translation would take me a little more, maybe half October. Thanks for your patience.

cih

Anyway, I'm not here to be in the credits of a translation, only happy to help in this project and see my work in next releases ;)

I find a problem about it. As I change the language file to cn.php file, everything is ok except those rrd graphs. All Chinese charaters showed in a messy way.I know GD does not support Chinese characterset but can support utf8.So I change those characters to be showed in rrd graphs form GB2312(Chinese characterset) to utf8.But there is still no change, just a great mess.Any suggestion?

Hi,
I made some changes to the spanish translation.
Added the ¿ (¿) and changed a couple of words.
Some of them are correct either way, like fichero and archivo, others are basically technical terms which I think sound better in the way I changed them :)
english - spanish old - spanish new
file - fichero - archivo
dependency - Pertenencia - Dependencia
monitoring - monitorización - monitoreo
time period - Franja Horaria - Período de Tiempo
interface - Interficie - Interfase
daemon - demonio - servicio
backup copy - Copia de Seguridad - Copia de Respaldo
network equipment - Equipamiento de Red - Equipo de Red
Let me know what you think.

Hi rdavila,
cool work on spanish language file. Although some of the improvements you've made, are not used in Spain. It's true that Spanish is a worldwide language, spoken in so many countries, but there are some differences, as I could see in your translation. In example, in Spain, we don't use "monitoreo" or "Interfase", we use indistinct "fichero" or "archivo", "Franja Horaria" or "Período de Tiempo", "Copia de Seguridad" or "Copia de Respaldo" (less used last one). But I must recognise, you're right in "Dependencia", "servicio" (although unix freaks like me use "demonio" instead of "servicio" ;P) or "Equipo de Red". Anyway, you've done a hard work revisiting the language file, and I think you're correct in so many aspects. I would use your language file with some little modifications to fit on Spain spanish (that sounds really silly, LOL). My boss would think I'm crazy if he see "monitoreo" ...
Keep up the good work!

Hi guys
you can find new language files in CVS, for next RC.
If you want be up-to-date....

Hi cih,
I completely agree with you.
In fact one of the reasons I suggested the changes was to see which terms would be best for a globally correct spanish translation. Obviously it would be almost impossible to do that.
Although I didn't think that monitoreo would sound so bad. I guess it is the same as when we see fichero down here in Puerto Rico.
BTW: I'm a Linux freak but if I use demonio in the pages I think my boss, who is a very religious guy, will probably fire me.
Thanks for being so receptive. That really encourages me to contribute more. :D
I recently finished modifying Oreon to be able to read the Nagios data from the Nagios MySQL tables instead of the logfiles. I hope someone might be interested in that. (although I suppose somebody must've done it already)
¡Mantengan el buen trabajo!

You can find the last CVS version of the file on the website oreon-project -> download Oreon on the bottom.
Now, when you made a correction in one this file, please send it to me ! I can put it in the download section of the web site and upgrade the version.
