I'm sorry. TEC is IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console and BEM is BMC Event Manager.

Those are two editor monitoring consoles frequently used in Tivoli or Patrol platforms. They have both a correlation engine.

Actually I'd like to know if Centreon would have such event correlation functionnalities.

Centreon is based on Nagios. They are not real correlation engine.

Nagios check service and Centreon permit to configure service, display result and make repport on timeperiod.

Nagios can send alert for problem
Use esclation and service dependency
Execute command on problem (event handler)
....

Thank you for your help.
That confirms what I was thinking about it. But I had a doubt has I read the product overview in the Centreon's official site which mentions "Correlation of events" :

IT Hypervision
* Aggregated views
* Task scheduling
* Data overview
* Correlation of events
* AJAX/XSLT technologies
* Interaction with external data sources

With services dependency you can link service to another service.

If "father" service is down, "child" service will not control and any notification wiil sent.
