  • Nagios2 do not work with 1.3 beta

    Hello

First thanks for giving us oreon its a great tool thats makes alot of stuff easier evne if it has a few small bugs.

Anyway ive set up a new test enviroment with nagios 2.3.1 and oreon 1.3 beta.

The configuration generated by oreon contains several invalid variables. I dont know if i found them all but ile list a few for you:

inter_check_delay_method=s Is invalid for nagios2 acording to the documentation. It became host_inter_check_delay_method and service_inter_check_delay_method

    Also log_passive_service_checks became log_passive_checks

This basically means u cant use oreon with nagios 2 because u would have to modify the conf everytime u change something

Hope u guys can fix this small bug, should be pretty easy

Also maybe u coudl consider opening an irc channel on freenode or something similar? I for one would love to have more mmm direct contact with you guys so its easier to help test and report bugs etc.

    Keep up the good work

    Best regards
    Jonas Larsen

Asuming ur response means that it was corrected so it works with nagios2 syntax thanks.

Yep i had nagios version set to 2.

        How about an irc channel?

You'll find here the two files to modify in order to generate Nagios 1.x and Nagios 2.x without problem.
