  • Host notification when services problems

    Hi !

I've upgraded from centreon 2.4.4 to 2.5.1 and now I have a very strange behaviour with my notifications.

Each time a service notifies, I get the host notification as well. This is very annoying. With 2.4.4 I received host notifications only when needed (host state change). Now I get host notification all the time.

This leads to very strange situation, for example I get notifications like that :

    12h15 - Service APACHE2 is DOWN
    12h15 - Host WEBSERVER is UP (<--- WTF ?? )
    12h26 - Service APACHE2 is UP
    12h26 - Host WEBSERVER is UP (<--- WTF ??)

Is this a feature or a bug ? Can you help me with that ?

    Thank you

    Cyril

It's even worse than that, sometimes the host notification is just wrong.

    Example :
HOST_1 state UNKNOWN (never been online)
SERVICE_1 is attached to HOST_1 (never been online either)

I recieve notifications like that :

    12h15 - Service SERVICE_1 is UNKNOWN
12h15 - Host HOST_1 is UP (<-- ?? the real state is UNKNOWN)
    and so on ..

Maybe this is because the host has never been online...

The double message is solved. The contact had "host-by-mail" and "service-by-mail" both selected on a service failure.

But I think you have a bug with that feature since the state of my host should have been UNKNOWN and not UP (host never been online).
