  • oreon "Web Setup" errors

    Hi,

    I have nagios2.4 & oreon-1.3-RC1, but every time when I execute the oreon "Web Setup" it stop at step (4. Verifying Configuration) & show me the error message: :cry:
    MySQL Critical: mysql.so not loaded in php.ini
    SNMP Warning: snmp.so not loaded in php.ini

    What do this mean??!!!... how can I define the mysql.so & snmp.so on php.ini??!!.... hock:

    On fedora, yum install php-snmp php-mysql
    Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 3.4GHz - MemTotal : 1034476 kB
    Centreon 2.4.1 - Nagios 3.2.1 - Nagios Plugins 1.4.15 - Manubulon Plugins tuné
    Fedora Core 5 - 2.6.20-1.2320

      I followed the same procedure mentioned in:

      But I face another problem…. On the (7. DataBase Verification ) step I have the following error:
      MySQL version CRITICAL
      Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

      I do not have any files listed in /var/lib/mysql:
      [[email protected] mysql]# ls -l /var/lib/mysql/
      total 0


      Do this mean I have a problem in mysql or I did not configure it yet??!! :roll:

      Is their any documentation to configure the mysql?!!!... I did not work with mysql before….

        try to start mysql first :wink:

        by default mysql as no password fo his root user but after installation you should set one for the root user
