  • Multiple sites?

    Hi,

Just been looking at Oreon as a client mentioned it recently.. Has anyone had a setup where they've got multiple Oreon instances, and some kind of central collaboration? That way you can have a multi-site monitoring system?

    Thanks,

    A.

    Hi alexcf,

The simpliest way for you to make ACL to limit the vision to users.
But it implies that you wont have multiple oreon servers but only one.

As I know there is no way to have a multicorporation view.

One solution could be to use an Oreon by site, and a global web console (one frame to select the good Oreon, one to display the selected oreon data). Then you use a ReverseProxy SSO like VultureNG / apache2 to limit access and grant autologin to each Oreon server.

OK, interesting.. I was wondering what the easiest way to stop duplicate alerts would be, other than setting a primary with dependencies etc..

Thanks for the info though. I'll have a look through that shortly.

For the duplicated mail alerts, that not as simple :/

Alerts are sent by nagios, oreon just reads the alert logs, so I dunno how to overide this.

        Maybie change the mail command.
