Web GUI > mass editing *.cfg object defintions ?

Good morning !
Yes it would be great to help programming Oreon but my knowledge of programming is limited to a few instructions only...

...but i can do a german language file if this is of any value... i read in another thread how to do it... besides this i can help a little with reporting on the Oreon/Nagios migration and setup. I can set the time i work on this on my own so i am free to test around and see what works and how and what not...

Good evening, it's something we have been thinking to.
Like you mean, select plenty resources and apply a global definition with forcing option or not (if already fill) is something quite interesting, and no so difficult to do in Oreon (all page template exist...)

If you are interesting to develop it, contact us.
If we have time during holiday, we re maybe gonna do it :lol:

What do other Oreon Users think about mass editing *.cfg files ? :idea:

My question comes from the following situation: I import Nagios1.3 data and try to adapt them for Nagios 2.4 with Oreon. Then with nagios -v it looks like this...

My problem is that i have about 300 more in this list and i do not know where and how to beging... hock:

To edit all this i have to open every single host in Oreon to attach a host template or edit the *.cfg files in a texteditor and import them into Oreon again. Now i think it would be nice if it would be possible to open several object definitions at once with all editable fields on one page. 8)

I would like to know how other Oreon users handle a situation like this? Am i on the wrong or right track with this idea? Are there other methods ?
