  • Creating Services

    Hi All,

Running the latest version of Oreon on Debian Sarge 3.1 with Nagios 2.5.

Problem I'm having is creating services. I've setup various services, if I try to generate the configuration file I'm getting an error from nagios -v saying "Error: No services defined."

I'm very comfortable configuring Nagios via the config files but a client of ours would like to have a front end they can use. Oreon seems to be the best out there but until I can either identify the reason for the service definitions not being exported, or understand the logic the system uses I'm stuck.

Any assistance received would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Gavin

    create host
    create service
    create user
    create contact group
    associate user with contact group
    associate contact group with service
    associate service with host
then generate, move files and restart nagios
