  • Perfparse stuck (Daniel Sloan... please help..)

    Greetings Sirs

I've been following Daniel Sloan's documentation on installing the Perfparse on my CentOS.
All is being followed.. with no errors...
I manage to get the page by invoking perfparse.cgi. Clicked the ‘View Raw Plugin Data’ but there is no data populated on the table.. Is it okey to proceed to the Oreon installation?
    I've checked
    1) perfparse.log :
    2007/04/18 17:34:55 [perfparsed.c:112 4873 ] Perfparsed already running with PID 4500
    2) service-perfdata is being steadily accumulated with data (tail -f service-perdata)
    3) I've checked Apache error log.. No error..
    4) I've checked Security log ... No error..
    5) Checked ps ax | grep perfparse ...
    4500 ? S 0:00 /usr/local/nagios/bin/perfparsed -d
    12670 pts/1 S+ 0:00 grep perfparse
    6) Checked ps ax | grep nagios
    4500 ? S 0:00 /usr/local/nagios/bin/perfparsed -d
    4907 ? Ssl 0:01 /usr/bin/nagios -d /etc/nagios/nagios.cfg
    12718 pts/1 R+ 0:00 grep nagios

    Anything else I should check...?

    Please help...

    Thanks...
    Araman.

On my fedora perfparse in daemon mod sucks.

Try to use perfparse in pipe mod, i think it's the easyest solution.

Search in french post for sample or in wiki.

        Thanks

        Thanks...

With your guidance.. I manage to install up to Oreon.. and manage to solve errors. Still do the Oreon setup to make all working as I want.. But still far away from complete.
A little hiccups here and there. The but I will manage..

        Thanks...

          Hello @all,

on my oreon system i have configured perfparse like the Daniel Sloan tutorial.
I think perfparse is working (i can see all raw datas) but when i want to view a graph the popup side is blank without any information.

          can somebody help me ???

          thanks
