  • yum update deleted all configuration on Centreon.

run yum update on friday and it broke my server - first problem was something to do with cpu microcode (this is vmware guest) vmware tools are installed and up to date. I set it to boot from the old kernel and it works again, but all the 100+ servers I had configured on it are all gone. I check the nagios files and they are missing there too. What could have caused this? any chance I could get the config back?

You should backup some config file unfortunately I think.
Usually I keep all the /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/ directory before each upgrade. Because yum override all
You should find some backup script somewhere.
