    Hello,

I am trying to get notifications to work. I installed postfix as per the instructions supplied on this site. I enable notifications for my hosts and services. I do not get any notifications.

I can run the command from shell and it send me e-mail as it should. Nothing in the nagios log mentions notification.

What can I do? Somewhere in your forum someone mentioned magic quotes and \\. They said it briefly but did not go enough into details so that I could try it. They mentioned an error with notification command in miscommand.cfg.

Some help would be very much welcomed. Thanks in advance.

it seems to be a nagios missconfiguration.

if there is no notification, you ll not receive mail.

nagios howto or forum could help you

      Solved

My Nagios user had insufficient rights to the postfix folder.
