  • GPING CRITICAL - pipe 3?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but i get a lot of host down notifications saying "GPING CRITICAL - pipe 2", sometimes it's pipe 3 or pipe 1. What does that mean? Shouldn't it say request timed out, or something like that?

    Anyone?

This happens on service checks of WAN links that sometimes get saturated and have latencies higher than 1000. Can numbers with with 4 digits mess up the graph_ping output making it show only the "pipe 2" part? If nagios only sees the "pipe 2" part, can it be the reason nagios consider that check as CRITICAL?

Here is a oline of nagios.log:

    [1165710697] SERVICE ALERT: Link_WAN;Ping;CRITICAL;SOFT;3;GPING CRITICAL - pipe 2
