    Coming back to my problem...

    I tried the script on a Dell 64bit with Fedora Core 6 without problem so I think Bits 's not the cause...

    It probably comes from the snmp version (5.2.1 on FC4 vs 5.3.1 on FC6)

    I will try to compile from source on FC4 and let you know

    Yea, the 64-bit part is probably what's causing it. If you are capable and want to add 64-bit functionality to the script, you should just need to add an SNMP v2 or v3 check for ifHCInOctets.

    From cisco:
    Be aware that ifInOctets = .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10 is a 32-bit counter while the 64-bit version is ifHCInOctets = .1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6.

    Counter length too long

    Hi

    I get this error trying to get the traffic of several servers with check_centreon_snmp_traffic (Centreon Version 1.4) :

    ERROR: IN Bits : Counter length too long (5 bytes)

    snmpwalking .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10 gives me :

    ifInOctets.1 = Counter32: 21233079
    ifInOctets.2 = Counter32: 21233079
    ifInOctets.3 = Counter32: 0
    ifInOctets.4 = Counter32: 0

    These servers are DELL 64bits with Linux Fedora Core 4

    It works fine on other servers

    Any idea's welcome,

    Pierre
