Finally got everything up and working correctly but I do have a couple of questions.

    1. I am using the check_graph_nt for pull down the total number of active terminal servers sessions. Doing this by using the COUNTER function, which says it can't be graphed, but I am wondering if there is away around this. The check returns a single number and seems to me it should be able to be graphed. Any ideas?

    2. Is it possible to change the graph sizing, i.e. memory is currently done in K .

    1. COUNTER in check_graph_nt is enable on 1.2.3 RC1

    2. not actually, in future release, we hope

I am using 1.2.3 RC1 and it doesn't seem to be working.

      My command is:
      $USER1$/check_graph_nt.pl -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -p 1248 -v $ARG1$ -l $ARG2$ -S $ARG3$ -w $ARG4$ -c $ARG5$ -g
      My arguments are :

      !COUNTER!"Terminal ServicesActive Sessions","Total Active Sessions is %.f"!7!85!90

      Any thoughts?

what is the ouptut command ?

you need to specify entire counter... like \\Terminal Services\Active Sessions

Hmm, not sure where my slashes went.

          Code:
          !COUNTER!"\\Terminal Services\\Active Sessions","Total Active Sessions is %.f"!9!85!90
When I go into Oreon and choose to modify the service check it only shows !COUNTER! and not my trailing arguements.

So thinking something was a miss I deleted it and created a new one using what is above.

If I run the command from the command line:
          Code:
           ./check_graph_nt.pl -H 10.162.0.16 -p 1248 -v COUNTER -l "\\Terminal Services\\Active Sessions","Total Active Sessions is %.f" -S 9 -w 85 -c 90 -g
          Total Active Sessions is 61
Which is correct, and that is what Oreon lists as well. But the graph remains the same as the attachement above.

Also a seperate issue, I went back into modify the arguements on the most recent one and had the same issue, if I click on Modify is lists just the !COUNTER! and i need to re-enter the line. It generates it correctly in the check command file, just not back in the Oreon GUI.

when you just view service conf (not edit), slashes are here ?

your gpc_magic_quote is on or off (php.ini) ?

Actually, when I just view the service I get

                Code:
                !COUNTER!"\Terminal Services\Active Sessions","Total Active Sessions is %.f"!9!85!90
it only shows 1 slash, but I entered 2.

Looking at the service.cfg I find this

                Code:
                define service{
                        service_description Users
                        host_name CAONCAM1TS002
                        check_command check_graph_nt!COUNTER!"\Terminal Services\Active Sessions","Total Active Sessions is %.f"!9!85!90!9
                        max_check_attempts 3
                        normal_check_interval 1
                        retry_check_interval 1
                        active_checks_enabled 1
                        check_period 24x7
                        freshness_threshold 0
                        low_flap_threshold 0
                        high_flap_threshold 0
                        notification_interval 15
                        notification_period 24x7
                        notification_options w,c,r
                        contact_groups sysadmins
                        }
Do I need to enter a 3rd slash? Is this " problem something that would be affecting the graphs?

                  if you run
                  ./check_graph_nt.pl -H 10.162.0.16 -p 1248 -v COUNTER -l "\Terminal Services\Active Sessions","Total Active Sessions is %.f" -w 85 -c 90
                  ?

we also fix (we hope) a bug with \ in command argument...

That is right where I was heading. If I remove the "Total Active Sessions is %.f"

                        My argument is now
                        Code:
                        !COUNTER!"\Terminal Services\Active Sessions",!15!85!90
And it returns a value of 57, but the graph shows 0.

Came across a problem which your probably are aware of since you mentined the problem with the " and \'s.

I create my arguements with \\ in them, after the first apply they are switched to \. From there I can generate files 2 more times, after the 2nd time the \'s are gone and the check returns a 0. Going back into fix it is easy enough, just a pain.

Let me know if you need more clarification.
