  • Hostgroups and Servicegroups Config files not generating

    Greetings,

I am doing an inital setup of Oreon Version v1.2.3-RC2 and I have worked out most of the initial issues with the configuration files. I am running Nagios2.0. But when I generate the files the hostgroups.cfg file is empty and the servicegroups.cfg file is also empty. I have data in the database for both and everything is enabled. Also, the nagios.cfg file does not have a line specifying the servicegroups.cfg file, plus the services.cfg file is inserting the service group line even though I leave it empty when setting up the service.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Oreon doesn't support Nagios 2.0 yet.

I understand that Oreon does not officially support Nagios 2.0, however if you change the user_version from 1 to 2, the output configuration files do use the 2.0 format so you can use it with Nagios 2.0. However, that is not the problem.

The problem is that the hostgroup and servicegroup configuration files are being written with nothing in them except for the Oreon Building info. They do not contain any of the hostgroups that I have created nor any of the servicegroups I created. I want to know how to get that data written out.

The other configuration files are written properly for Nagios 2.0. Except that the services.cfg file is written with the "servicegroups" line even when the service group is left blank.

I am wondering how to get these issues fixed.

I have been following the Oreon notifications about they are working on getting a version our for Nagios 2.0 and also that they are following the nd02db development.
