    Clear your log file first (echo "" > error_log)

    And try to use oreon and find what error exactly appear when you click on somet object we do not make what you expect to

    Do you mean this file: /var/log/httpd/error_log ???

    In this file I have many errors like:

    1. PHP Notice: Undefined variable: pgr_nagios_stat in /usr/local/oreon/www/include/monitoring/status/resume.php on line 56, referer: http://nagios.fasttelco.net/oreon/oreon.php?p=2&o=svcpb
    The error line is:
    $tpl_resume->assign("pgr_nagios_stat", $pgr_nagios_stat);

    2. PHP Notice: Undefined index: database in /usr/local/oreon/www/include/views/graphs/graphPlugins/listGraphPlugins.php on line 142, referer: http://nagios.fasttelco.net/oreon/oreon.php?p=402
    The error line is:
    $rrdDB = $_GET["database"];
    preg_match("([0-9\_]+)", $rrdDB[1], $matches);
    $split = preg_split("/\_/", $matches[0]);

    3. PHP Notice: Undefined variable: classdir in /usr/local/oreon/www/index.php on line 28
    The error line is:
    require_once ("$classdir/Session.class.php");

    4. File does not exist: /usr/local/oreon/www/include/javascript, referer: http://nagios.fasttelco.net/oreon/install/upgrade.php

    5. PHP Notice: Undefined variable: msg in /usr/local/oreon/www/install/upgrade.php on line 29, referer: http://nagios.fasttelco.net/oreon/install/upgrade.php
    Please note that I don’t have this directory: /usr/local/oreon/www/install

    What do this mean??!!...
    What I can do with these errors???... are they major errors to stop the Nagios working??!!!.... :roll:

    With Oreon, no configuration to do in Nagios.

    There is a problem when Oreon generate the configuration that's why there are no config files in /usr/local/nagios/etc

    Try first to find what exactly the error come from.

    Code:
    Things look okay - No serious problems were detected during the pre-flight check

    Running configuration check... FAILED! Restart aborted. Check your Nagios configuration.
    It seems that Oreon check twice the configuration and that there is a problem on the second check.

    Maybe a bad authorization on some folders.

    Check you apache log error file !

    I created everything (except services because every time when I try to save it return to the same page again “refused to save”), if I debug Nagios from the Oreon web interface I got:

    Check your configuration file(s) to ensure that they contain valid
    directives and data defintions. If you are upgrading from a previous
    version of Nagios, you should be aware that some variables/definitions
    may have been removed or modified in this version. Make sure to read
    the HTML documentation regarding the config files, as well as the
    'Whats New' section to find out what has changed.

    I followed the steps:
    1. install Nagios 2.4
    2. install Oreon 1.3RC
    3. add hosts, contacts, contact group & host group from the Oreon web interface

    Do I have to do anything else???!!!... Do we have to configure anything in Nagios after Oreon installation??!!! :roll:
    It seams that on my server every one of them is working separately!!!...... ops:

    abc,

    It seems you haven't configured anything using Oreon? At install time there is not config... Normal, create contact, hosts, services and generate Nagios config in oreon

    I hope it helps, Zby-)

    started a topic Can not start nagios 2.4 with oreon 1.3

    Can not start nagios 2.4 with oreon 1.3

    I finished the Nagios 2.4 & Oreon 1.3RC installation, but when I try to start Nagios I got the error message:
    # /etc/init.d/nagios start
    Configuration file /etc/nagios/nagios.cfg not found. Exiting.

    In the /etc/init.d/nagios file I found these lines:
    prefix=/usr/share/nagios
    exec_prefix=/var/lib/nagios
    NagiosBin=/usr/sbin/nagios
    NagiosCfgFile=/etc/nagios/nagios.cfg
    NagiosStatusFile=/var/log/nagios/status.dat
    NagiosTempFile=/var/log/nagios/nagios.tmp
    NagiosRetentionFile=/var/log/nagios/retention.dat
    NagiosCommandFile=/var/log/nagios/rw/nagios.cmd
    NagiosVarDir=/var/log/nagios
    NagiosRunFile=/var/run/nagios.pid
    NagiosLockDir=/var/lock/subsys
    NagiosLockFile=nagios
    NagiosCGIDir=${exec_prefix}/sbin
    NagiosUser=nagios
    NagiosGroup=nagios

    But during the installation I set the Nagios configuration file in /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg, so what do this mean??!!..

    Do I have to change these files paths to my Nagios local directory files (/usr/local/nagios/etc/) or I have to create a hard or symbolic links between these files (ex:/etc/nagios/nagios.cfg) and the Nagios file (like: /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg)??!!!
    :roll:
