  • Home / Monitoring / Perfparse

I have finally got Oreon up and running.
However, There are no stats from my localhost, or the test host I added.
I can see them under configuration, but not under Home or Monitoring.

It should also be noted that I am getting a Perfparse error. Could this be the issue?
Problem with Perfparse Database connection : DB Error: no such database

However, I CAN see my hosts under reporting, but they say pending.

Under Home and Monitoring, it is all zeros.

Is there a good English doc(s) on what I am doing wrong?

    I am SO CLOSE :-)

Disable use of perfparse in general configuration.

    Read Nagios Manual.

Build and export configuration to Nagios.

      Exporting in Oreon

I see when doing this, it overwrites ( and breaks ) my Nagios checks )

I wonder still about the list versus form radio button at the bottom of the pages is an issue.

you are the second person who ask about list or form but i don't know what is it or i don't understand what you are talking about.

Sorry i can't help you much.

Maybe someone else could give you a response.

          List Versus Form

It's when you modify a host check, contec, etc. It is located at the botom of the page.

I am running Nagios Version 2.5 and Oreon's latest release 1.3.1-1

Thats ok, I'm a native english speaker, and yet I found the comment a bit difficult to understand as well...I think some more details would be helpful to us in assisting here.

Bob, could you please elaborate what it is you are suggesting with regards to "list versus form radio button at the bottom of the pages"?

            Thanks,
            Daniel.

              List / Form Location

It is at the bottom of ANY configuration page right above the save / reset buttons.

                Sorry All,

I wish I could send you a screen cap, because those buttons are there..... :-)

Aha. What version are you using?

My oreon installation doesn't have this "feature", but the screenshots on the website do...which leads me to suspect this is a "feature" that no longer exists in version 1.3 (the screenshots being slightly older).

However I haven't been around long enough to know for sure...hopefully an old-timer can chime in and provide more information :-)

By the way, I'm making an effort to be on the IRC channel whenever possible now (irc.freenode.net, channel #oreon)...so if you need to talk to someone "live", I should be on there reasonably regularly.

Yes, my mistake...its in mine too, however I've never even noticed the damn thing, let alone having any idea what it does or needing to change the default.

For the curious, we are discussing the option "List" or "Formulaire" at the bottom of most forms, eg: http://www.oreon-project.org/images/...Escalation.png

I believe Bob is suggesting a listbox would be a better choice for the selection of List or Form...
