j'ai suivi pas à pas l'installation donnée http://wiki.oreon-project.org/index....1.4-DebianEtch

cependant à la fin en lancant dans le browser : http://localhost/oreon/
j'obtiens :

Not Found

The requested URL /oreon/ was not found on this server.
Apache/2.0.55 (Ubuntu) PHP/5.1.6 Server at localhost Port 80

Va voir dans tes alias apaches si il y a bien un qui fait mention d'oreon. C'est soit dans le fichier de conf de apache soit dans le repertoire de conf ou il y a un fichier oreon.conf

ce sujet à déjà été un peu traité, une personne avait le même problème. Regarde ca peut être il y a une solution qui marchera pour toi en attendant.

dans /etc/apache2, il n'y a rien dans le fichier httpd.conf, est ce normal?

Normalement oreon n'installe rien dans httpd.conf mais cree un fichier de conf dans /ton_rep_appache/conf.d/oreon.conf va voir si ce fichier est bien la.

Est ce que le chemin indique "/usr/local/oreon/www/" est bien celui des pages d'oreon?

En effet, les chemins de alias et de directory n'étaient pas bon, je les ai changé, mais maintenant j'obtiens :

essaye :
/etc/init.d/apache2 stop
/etc/init.d/apache2 start

Des fois le deamon "bug" (je sais pas comment dire :? ) et du coup quand tu fais restart ou reload il repond FAIL.

En fait j'obtiens aussi l'erreur avec nagios en faisant http://localhost/nagios/
