  • First Time Error

    Hi all,

This may have been answered before, but I can't always translate the French correctly.

I just installed Oreon on Ubuntu (Fiesty) with an exsiting Nagios setup. The install went well, however, I did have to type http://localhost/oreon/install/setup.php manually to reach the page rather than http://localhost/oreon/ . Now after that setup went very well; I cannot use oreon. I get this error at http://localhost/oreon/
    Code:
    DB Error: connect failed
I have loged into the localhost and can connect to the database using the same credentials as oreon is setup with. Also all the tables are in the two databases that oreon setup during install.

Any ideas? Is it a pear/php issue?

Check your apache logs / configs.

I am running Nagios Version 3.0b6 clean install. Will this cause a problem, I just installed Centreon 1.4.1 and Nagios today... same issue.

Yes, go back to version 2.9. That's the newest that Centreon supports.

          FIXED for now

          I fixed the issue.

I edited the DBOdsconnect.php and DBconnect.php to add my database and username/password directly instead of the variables.

Let me know how that goes, I look forward to upgrading Nagios versions if Centreon can support it.
