  • UI Config error???

Hi All! We are placing MIDAS to monitor our network, but are having an issue getting the config to work.

First we add a host (www-live1 for example) and select a check (check_http). All good. Now I go and add a service to www-live1, call the service WWW, its a simple check_http. According to the help on the check args, I need to add a string, so I pick a string 'TEST' which exsists on the page. When I generate the config files I get:

Error: Service check command 'check_http'TEST'' specified in service 'WWW' for host 'www-live1' not defined anywhere!

Ha? Please help, I would love to roll this into production soon as I LOVE the UI We are using 1.2.2 on FreeBSD.

    Hi,

you need to use "!" between each argument in command_argument.

      Another error?

Thanks for you comments - seemed to have moved one step closer Now, when I kill -HUP the process (not sure if the restart from the UI is working?!?) and click on Monitor, I get this error:

(Return code of 141 is out of bounds)

Any ideas? My Cmd arg is now:

      !TEST

      Thoughts?

        Fixed?

Hi All - I seemed to have fixed this?!?! I altered the command syntax and removed the -v from the end and now it seems to work properly! Strange! Any ideas?

        Thanks,
        Karl
